I thought I'd post my findings each month to offer inspiration as well as remind me to keep trying to RAISE the % I save! Here is how it looks:
583.76 - The total value of my purchases which is basically the retail price before store sales or coupons, etc.
232.63 - The actual money OOP (out of pocket).
That's a savings of 351.13
75% - My average % of savings
My best % was 99% at CVS during the month where my total came to 48.36 and I paid .39 OOP LOL!
My worst % was 20%. This was at the Commissary, where prices are already nearly rock bottom to begin with and the % off I achieved was strictly due to coupon use, which was 34.10 that particular trip and my grocery total was 140.xx. My commissary trips are going to bring my percentages down because the deals are so good anyway that you can almost NOT get any better. Whereas at a retail chain store, the prices are much higher and leaves a lot more room to bring those prices down, which look better on paper LOL. But I'm with that b/c I usually use TWO carts at the Commissary and I should say that 140.xx is DARN GOOD for 2 baskets full of groceries...anywhere lol
